Extended Summary Submission

IPEC-Niigata 2018 provides an opportunity for academics and industries to present results of their recent researches and developments in the area of power electronics, motor drives, motion controls, and its application to whole industry areas.

Participants wishing to make a presentation in the technical session are cordially invited to submit an Extended Summary in English no later than ~~October 16, 2017~~ October 30, 2017.

Extended Summary

Deadline of Extended Summary	~~October 16, 2017~~ October 30, 2017

An extended summary describing work not previously published or presented must be electronically submitted in a PDF file through the conference website no later than ~~October 16, 2017~~ October 30, 2017.

Format :: The extended summary should be up to 4 pages (except Reference) on either A4 or 8.5 by 11 inch (letter size) format with supporting figures, tables headed by title of paper and choice of topic category.
*Please do not indicate any author names.
Important Note :: The extended summary should clearly define the salient concepts and novel features of the work. Be sure to mention past or previous works to distinguish your originality from them.
Review :: The submitted extended summary will be reviewed via a peer review process in order to ensure the highest technical quality of the conference.

Notification of Acceptance	January 10, 2018

Authors will receive notification of acceptance by e-mail on or before January 10, 2018.

Presentation

Accepted authors must present their papers either orally or as a poster. Several rooms will be reserved for both styles. Each speaker will have 20-30 minutes for oral presentation or about two hours for a poster. The authors' instructions will include details for presentation styles.

Registration Policy

All accepted papers must be presented at the conference and be associated with a full registration. Full registration can cover two papers, but the second paper needs one student registration or student registration fee.

Final Manuscript

Deadline for Final Manuscripts	March 9, 2018

Authors of accepted papers will be required to submit a final manuscript not exceeding eight pages in length for publication in the USB Conference Proceedings together with the application for registration and the required fee. Authors whose extended summaries are accepted will receive detailed authors' instruction by e-mail.

Publication

The submitted final manuscript will be published in the USB Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore.
If the final manuscript was not presented at the conference, it will NOT be included in IEEE Xplore.

We encourage you to submit your paper to IEEJ journal of industry applications, IEEE Transactions on power electronics, or IEEE Transactions on industry applications.

Special Issue in IEEJ JIA:
The authors of conference papers presented at IPEC2018 have the opportunity to submit their manuscripts to IEEJ Journal of Industry Applications for possible publication. Special Issue on "IPEC-Niigata 2018" of IEEJ Journal of Industry Applications is also planned. (Please refer to the [Call for Papers].) All submitted manuscripts will be subject to the standard IEEJ review process.

Submission to IEEE TIA:
All papers actually presented in this conference may be eligible for review by IEEE-Industry Applications Society for possible publication in IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications or IEEE Industry Applications Magazine. Further information on IEEE-IAS publications, and on the obligations of authors, can be found in the Information for Authors on the IAS web site, https://ias.ieee.org/publications.html.

Plagiarism

Make sure that your paper is substantially different from (your) previously published work. Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism and multiple publication using IEEE CrossCheck Portal (https://crosscheck.ieee.org).
