On behalf of the Organizing and Steering Committees, we sincerely welcome you to the 2022 International Power Electronics Conference, IPEC-Himeji 2022 -ECCE Asia-. The first IPEC was held in 1983, and since then, in 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2014, and 2018 have been held in different locations, hosted by the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ). Since 2010, IPEC has had the additional function of the power electronics conference series which is held in the three countries rotation of China, Japan, and Korea, and has also been held as one of the ECCE Asia conferences due to cooperation with the IEEE Power Electronics Society, IEEE Industry Applications Society and IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. After IPEC-Niigata 2018, the ninth International Power Electronics Conference, IPEC-Himeji 2022-ECCE Asia-, will be held from May 15 to May 19, 2022 in Himeji, Japan. The conference venue will be a brand-new Himeji City Culture and Convention Center which closes to beautiful Himeji Castle, one of World Heritage in Japan.

Power electronics has been providing numerous new technologies in the fields of electric energy conversion and motor drive systems for more than 50 years. In recent years, global energy and environmental issues are becoming more serious and power electronics is expected to play a key role in solving such problems. Also, the power electronics expands its field to not only Power conversion but also Electric machine and Control. The IPEC Himeji 2022 -ECCE Asia- will provide a unique opportunity for International researchers, engineers, and academics to present and exchange the latest information on Integration of Power conversions, Electric machines, and Control (IPEC).

Himeji, where the conference venue located is the second largest city of Hyogo prefecture, and is located at the west area of mainland Japan. The symbol of the city is the Himeji Castle, which is one of the most famous castles in Japan, honored as a World Cultural Heritage Site. You can also enjoy the magnificent castle view from the Japanese garden called “Koko-en”, and the beautiful landscape of the historical sites in Himeji.
