電気学会Ａ部門誌の平成22年11月号にて，第11回日韓合同放電・高電圧シンポジウム(2009 Korea-Japan Joint Symposium
on ED and HVE)の英文特集号を企画しております。第11回日韓合同放電・高電圧シンポジウムに出席される皆様には奮って御投稿くださいますようお願いいたします。
投稿の資格：第11回日韓合同放電・高電圧シンポジウムで発表された論文に関するもの。
投稿の方法：通常のＡ部門誌と同様に，Ａ部門誌の投稿サイトから投稿してください。このとき，該当する特集論文を選択してください。原稿の様式等はＡ部門誌への一般投稿と全く同じです。
原稿の締切：平成21年12月11日 平成22年1月29日に延長しました。
日韓合同放電・高電圧シンポジウム（以降，J-Kシンポジウム）は，当放電技術委員会と韓国電気学会高電圧・放電応用委員会が主催する合同シンポジウムであり，日韓両国における放電・高電圧工学の技術者・研究者が一堂に会して研究 発表を行うことにより相互の友好関係や技術交流を深めると共に，両国における当該分野のより一層の発展を目指して います。大学院生や若手研究者の参加を積極的に呼びかけ，更に研究会に準じた優秀論文発表賞の審査や会議独自の Best Paper Presentation Award表彰を行うことにより若手育成活動を活性化させることも目的としています。
J-Kシンポジウムは，電気学会放電技術委員会の国際活動をより活発にする為に日韓交流の一環として検討された。 平成7年，放電技術委員長であった原雅則教授と韓国電気学会会長であった李徳出教授との間で本シンポジウムの構想が 練られ，日韓の関係者の議論を経て電気学会放電技術委員会と韓国電気学会Electrical Discharge and High Voltage Engineering Societyとの学会間の国際交流として開始が決まった。
第１回シンポジウムが1996年にLG Cable & Machinery Co. Ltd.で開催されて以来，日本電気学会Ａ部門 放電技術委員会と韓国電気学会放電・高電圧協会がそれぞれの国で交互に主催しながら開催されています。2003年までは毎年開催でしたが，2003年以降は隔年開催となりました。
