Technical committee of Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation (TC-DEI) of IEEJ would like to promote the relation and exchange between industry such as private companies and academic communities such as universities. Therefore, TC-DEI held Sun-Shine session (SS session, Industry session) in the previous domestic symposium. It was very received very well and many Japanese companies in this field want to participate the SS session.
The SS session aims to make a good oppotunity for companies to introduce their developped and developing technologies and products to attendee especially young researchers such as university students and graduate students. In the introduction, presented companies can show their products themselves. Many young researchers will come to ISEIM2008. so it will good oppotunity to introduce your company.
The presentation of SS session bases the poster session. Therefore, attending company is required to prepare one page abstract that can include tables and figures, and its poster for presentation. Of course, ISEIM2008 will prepare poster boards, some display space and commercial power source of Japanese 100 V ac. Attending fee is not charged to company itself, but is charged to the attending person. So, if the attending person is a member of IEEJ, IEEE, KIEEME, CES, attending fee (registration fee for ISEIM2008) is 35,000 JPY and if not, 40,000 JPY.
All the companies in the field of dielectrics and electrical insulation are invited to the SS session. Please contact to ISEIM2008 Secretariat, iseim2008@freeml.com, to attend SS session. In that case, please send the following information to the secretariat.

You are required the following items for the presentation in the SS session.
1. Submission of extended abstract
Firstly, please contact to ISEIM2008 Secretariat, iseim2008@freeml.com with the information shown above. The conference secretariat will send the abstract format to the contact person, because one-page extended abstract is required to present in the SS session. The abstract should include some technical topics related to the dielectric and electrical insulating material technologies in your institute (company). The abstract will be published in the abstract booklet and the CD-ROM that will be distributed at the conference registration desk. Therefore, your abstract should be sent to the conference secretariat till Mid. July.2. Presentation
In SS session, your presentation is a poster presentation. You are to be provided the following items;
a. Poster boad
The size of your poster boad is a hight of approx. 3m and a width of 2.4 m. Thus, the poster size of 1.8 m in its width and 1.5 m in its height will be suitable. Your poster should be put up with thumbtacks that will be provided by the conference secretariat.
b. One foldable desk
The size of the foldable desk is 1.8 m times 45 cm. Its hight is approx. 80 cm. You are encouraged to present some miniature models and so on to make others understand better.
c. Two foldable chairs

You can use a Japanese commercial power supply (100 V, 60 Hz), however, upper limit of powe capacity is 5 A. You should prepare a power strip to use it, because the outlets are on the wall and on the floor.
You are required to present your poster at least on Sept. 9 PM to Sept. 11 AM.
