Important : Concerning Migration to the New IEEJ Paper Management System

Although the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ) has been using the IEEJ Paper Management System to handle submissions and peer reviews on the Web, the system has recently been significantly overhauled and operation of the new system was launched on October 1, 2012.
While, under the former system, each journal was handled by a separate system, the recent improvements mean that the new system is now a single integrated entity and journal-specific system log-in IDs that were required under the former system have been integrated into a single ID. In addition, under the new system, users need access only a single access site from which, for example, submissions to Transactions A and Transactions B can be performed. Likewise, the peer review status of papers submitted to Transactions A and Transactions B can be displayed on a single screen.

However, because the structures of the former and new systems differ significantly, IDs for the former system cannot be used on the new system. We apologize for any inconvenience, but, from October 1, 2012, to submit papers to journals of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan, users will need to acquire an ID for the new system. In addition, please bear in mind that information on papers submitted to the former system will NOT be transferred to the new system.
[Peer Reviews of Papers submitted up to September 30, 2012]
Peer reviewing of papers will remain possible using the former system.
For peer reviewing of papers, please log in to the former system using the old ID.

[Peer Review of Papers submitted after October 1, 2012]
Papers may be peer-reviewed using the new system.
Before proceeding, users will need to acquire an ID for the new system on the log-in screen of the new system.

Distinguishing between papers in the Former and New Systems
Paper reception numbers differ.
While numbers in the former system were in formats such as A12-001, numbers in the new system will be in formats such as 12000010. In other words, journals will not be distinguished in the new system by prefixing numbers with a letter of the alphabet as in A12 -.

Distinguishing between IDs in the Former and New Systems
The letter of the alphabet prefixing IDs will differ.
While IDs in the former system began with the field name as in A0000011, IDs in the new system will be prefixed by SU as in SU0000011.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but respectfully ask for your kind understanding and cooperation.
